Chief Executive Officer
Dino Eliopoulos brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare to Behavioral Innovations with expertise in site selection and expansion both domestically and internationally, multisite location strategy and management, infrastructure investment and operational scalability, and clinical and financial excellence. Previously, he was Group Chief Financial Officer of Provista Inc., a leading group purchasing organization in the non-acute healthcare setting. Mr. Eliopoulos received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting from Ryerson Polytechnical University (Canada) and is a Chartered Accountant (Canada) and Certified Public Accountant (Illinois).
Prior to his time at Provista, Dino held executive leadership positions including Chief Financial Officer of Medexpress, the nation’s largest urgent care company, and President of Trinity Hospice which was previously one of the nation’s leading hospice companies. Additionally, he serves as a board member of several health care services organizations.
Chief Operating Officer
Chris Fromme has over 20 years of healthcare leadership and operations experience. Chris came to us from United Surgical Partners International as a Regional Vice President in the DFW market. His tenure there spanned nearly 7 years where he was instrumental in USPI’s rapid growth and expansion. In addition, Chris’s experience includes new facility development, acquisition integration, change management, revenue growth/financial performance improvement, physician recruiting/development and survey accreditation.
Chief Growth Officer
Dave Briedis has more than a decade of financial services experience, generally working with small-cap and middle-market companies with annual revenues from $10 million to $500 million. At Behavioral Innovations (BI), he is responsible for driving revenue and earnings growth through de novo expansion within Texas and Oklahoma, expansion to new states and selective add-on acquisitions. Since joining BI, Dave has also driven intake and admissions process improvements, IT systems implementations, digital marketing optimization and other strategic initiatives.
Prior to joining BI, Dave served as an investment professional with leading private equity firms including Trivest Partners, Norwest Equity Partners, and Pine Tree Equity Partners. In these roles Dave was responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities as well as providing operational support and strategic guidance to the firms’ existing portfolio companies. Dave began his career as an investment banker with Piper Jaffray.
Dave received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
When Dave is not at work, he and his wife enjoy traveling with friends and family. Dave has traveled to all 50 states and many dozens of countries (and wine regions!) across South America, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.
Monna Nevils, SPHR
Chief Human Resources Officer
Monna Nevils is a strategic Human Resources leader with more than 15 years of success across a variety of industries (multi-site, multi-state, international operations). Monna brings a results-oriented approach to all facets of Human Resources. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated the ability to align, link and scale people practices that drive growth.
As a thought partner, mentor and coach to the leadership team, Monna has collaborated with executive teams to define and operationalize a winning culture. At Behavioral Health Group (BHG), she developed a culturally powered HR infrastructure that supported aggressive, rapid growth, primarily through acquisitions—nearly doubling the size of the workforce in three years—while automating labor-intensive manual processes with new technology implementations. She developed a high-performing HR team responsive to the needs of the business and workforce and led efforts to professionalize staff, improve first line management and promote the development of talented staff members. Monna was integral to BHG’s growth, as well as the successful sale of the company to The Vistria Group in December 2018.
Before joining Behavioral Innovations, Monna served in leadership for high value brands such as JLL, Bank of America and P&G. She is a frequent guest speaker, trainer and panelist at professional conferences. She has served as a Board Member of My Sister’s House, an organization that supports victims of domestic violence.
Chief Financial Officer
John Lund serves as CFO of Behavioral Innovations (BI), where he is responsible for creating a financial platform to support expected high growth while managing the financial strategy of the company. John has over twenty-five years of CFO and financial executive experience encompassing health care, private equity backed, high-growth and multi-state companies. John also has experience in the complete life cycle of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), analyzing the financial performance of business operations and establishing the financial infrastructure needed to support operations, growth and profitability.
Prior to joining BI, John served as the CFO at Behavioral Health Group, a private equity backed company that provides opioid addiction treatment in 52 outpatient clinics in 12 states. John contributed to the successful sale of the company to a private equity sponsor in December 2018. John was also previously CFO for Reliant Rehabilitation, a private equity backed company which provides physical therapy at over 600 skilled nursing facilities in 27 states. Additionally, John has held financial leadership roles at various public and private companies. John began his career with the Dallas office of KPMG where he served as audit manager.
John is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an accounting degree from the University of North Texas.
When John is not at work, he is likely spending time skiing, biking or hiking in South Lake Tahoe.
Chief Clinical and Compliance Officer
Lara comes to BI with her MS in Speech-Language Pathology & her BA in Human Communications and Psychology while also having over 23 years of clinical and administrative experience. Lara has served children and adults in diverse multidisciplinary settings, such as school-based services, hospital and private practice. Lara has always enjoyed working with children, working as a lifeguard, swim teacher & coach for several years before and during graduate school.
Lara will be a great addition to the Behavioral Innovations team as she has served in similar type roles where she was instrumental in the growth and expansion of services, standardization of clinical practices across multiple sites and improvement of day-to-day operations in a clinical setting. One of the many reasons Lara is so excited about joining the BI team is our continued focus on evidence-based, autism specific services while also making each day about the parents and children that we are so lucky enough to impact. Not only does Lara’s background perfectly match her new role, but with her passion and level of clinical expertise you can expect big things to come!
Chief Strategy Officer
Chris has nearly a decade of growth-oriented financial and strategic experience working with lower middle-market businesses across a variety of industries. Prior to joining Behavioral Innovations, Chris managed financial and operational due diligence efforts for private equity backed buyouts as part of KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice. Chris has been successful in driving results across complex organizations, implementing operational efficiencies, and evaluating strategic acquisitions. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. He also has Finance and Accounting degrees from the University of Illinois.
Chris is an avid golfer and Chicago sports fan, having recently relocated from the Windy City.
Carla Edwards, M.S., BCBA
Executive Director - De Novos, Co-Founder
A native of North Carolina, Carla pursed a psychology degree and as an undergraduate at UNC-Wilmington had the pleasure to receive mentorship from Dr. Carol Pilgrim. Carla fell in love with Behavior Analysis after her courses, involvement in research and especially after the inspiration from her work with a young lady with Down’s Syndrome. She left the Carolinas to pursue a graduate degree from UNT-Department of Behavior Analysis. While at the University of North Texas, she had the opportunity to study with professors and colleagues from around the world. Carla’s thesis was in staff training which was enhanced by her work in the public school setting while in Graduate school.
Carla’s passion involves the application of Applied Behavior Analysis from an operations perspective. Carla is married to a Behavior Analyst and has 2 daughters. Her hobbies include taking short trips, going to the beach, spending time with family, organizing, and trying out things found on Pinterest.
Lori Russo, M.S., BCBA
Executive Director - Clinical, Co-Founder
A native Texan, Lori received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University, and Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. While at the University of North Texas, Lori spent time working with individuals with developmental disabilities under the direction of distinguished professors in various capacities and settings. Lori participated in research projects regarding functional behavior assessments, language development, social and play skills, development of academic materials, and staff training.
Lori’s passion is building a clinical team that is dedicated to the development and implementation of behavior analysis practices that will maximize each client’s potential for learning and growth. She remains active in her state and national professional organizations, has served on the TxABA Council and Autism Special Interest committee, local medical board, school accreditation teams, and has functioned as an expert professional on panels to review other clinical programs.Outside of BI, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter.
Tyeler Viel, MA
Vice President - Sales & Marketing
Tyeler Viel is the VP of Sales & Marketing. She partners closely with the Directors of Community Development and marketing to help reach more families with kids on the autism spectrum who can benefit from ABA therapy. After spending nearly 9 years traveling all over the country to help market and launch a unique brand of private schools, Tyeler knows the importance of community, building relationships and doing work that matters. She is passionate about the mission and vision of BI and leaped at the opportunity to be part of this growing company, making an impact in this world.
In 2013, Tyeler left sunny Southern California for the beautiful seasons of Dallas. She lives with her husband and a very fluffy golden doodle, Kato.
Tyeler holds a Masters Degree from the University of San Diego.
