Mayra is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who has 12 years of experience working with children and adults with special needs. Mayra completed her Medical Surgeon Degree in the University Popular Autonomous of Puebla and worked as a medical practitioner and Emergency Medicine Doctor (E.R.) in Mexico. After her son’s diagnosis of Severe Autism and Cerebral Palsy she became strongly involved in the world of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
In 2007, Mayra started her career as a Behavior Interventionist and Parent Trainer in EU. Mayra completed her advanced courses of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at the National University in Costa Mesa California and in 2015 Mayra obtained her BCBA certification. Mayra has experience in clinic, home, school and community settings. She is fluent in English and Spanish and Proficient in American Sign Language and has extensive experience in Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT). In addition, she has 12 years of working as a Volunteer in a Non-Profit Organization that educates and supports families whose children have Autism, as a Director assistant and board member.
