Behavioral Innovations is proud to announce the launch of autism testing services in San Antonio, Houston, Colorado, and Austin.

This service is designed to support families who are looking for assistance in obtaining an evaluation for their children under 10 years of age. Families can submit a short form to contact the diagnostic evaluation team.

The Behavioral Innovations team, leveraging their expertise in this field, uses evidence-based assessment tools and techniques to evaluate each child. This personalized approach aims to facilitate early diagnosis and intervention, key factors in improving long-term outcomes for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

This new offering includes initial screenings and consultations, thorough diagnostic evaluations using scientific methods, and detailed diagnostic reports, including individualized recommendations for evidence-based interventions and supports. The service includes all elements from the initial consultation to the comprehensive written report.

This launch is underpinned by two diagnostic experts: Dr. Melissa Miller, attending to the Houston, San Antonio, and Austin markets and Dr. Kearie Newman, serving the Colorado area.

Dr. Melissa Miller, a Licensed Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience, excels in evidence-based assessment and treatment, utilizing cutting-edge research to determine the most effective approaches for specific concerns or conditions. Having spent a significant portion of her career in academic and medical center settings, she now focuses exclusively on clinical work, particularly in outpatient and telehealth environments. Dr. Newman’s diagnostic approach emphasizes a scientist-practitioner model that utilizes the application of relevant assessment technologies as well as a comprehensive analysis to assist in diagnostic clarification and treatment planning. She has experience in outpatient settings, private practice, and psychiatric facilities, and now focuses exclusively on diagnostic assessment, particularly autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
