Danielle Zavagno, MA, BCBA, COBA, LBA
Danielle starts her journey at BI with over 12 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and has gained valuable knowledge at each step of her career path. She currently has her MA, BCBA, COBA and LBA with a certificate in autism. Danielle prides herself on her ability to collaborate with her other team members with the goal of improving not just the culture internally, but most importantly affecting the lives of the wonderful children that come across our centers on a daily basis. Danielle has high expectations for herself and we are lucky to have her on board at Round Rock!
Danielle Skala, BCBA, LBA
Assistant Clinical Director
Danielle Skala received her Masters of Education in Special Education with concentration in autism and applied behavior analysis from Texas State in 2015. She has been working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities for more than 10 years, 7 years being with Round Rock ISD as a Functional Communication teacher.
She was recognized as both the Teacher of the Year for Forest North Elementary as well as a nominee for a National LifeChanger of the Year award in 2016. When not in the clinic Danielle enjoys spending time with her energetic son (Roland), husband (Charlie), and her 3 cats (Reina, Janus, and Callisto).
Annie Salgado, MA, BCBA, LBA
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Annie comes to BI with her MA, BCBA, & LBA with a certification in Autism Spectrum Disorders. Annie has previously worked with individuals with autism for over eight years, while practicing ABA for two years. She is extremely passionate about working with early learners as she believes they are such a fun and exciting group to watch learn and develop. Annie also has a strong excitement for leadership and staff development, which will serve all of our centers well as she comes on board. Annie has stated that what drove her to BI is our emphasis on clinical excellence and focus on staff development. She looks to support her staff and uphold the BI values that make us such a tremendous asset in the communities we serve!
Merlinda is the Business Manager at the Cedar Park Treatment Center. She joined the BI team for her passion to provide a compassionate and positive environment to the families and team members she will encounter.
Merlinda is a native Texan and has great love for her state. She has over 5 years in Customer Relations and 3 years in Clinical Administration. During her personal time, Merinda enjoys her days out in the sun with her husband and 3 pups. Merlinda has a passion for DIY projects and enjoys any festive/holiday party planning.
Caleb Smith, RBT
Clinical Operations Manager
Caleb Smith is the Clinical Operations Manager for the Austin Westlake Treatment Center. He has had the great pleasure of working with Behavioral Innovations since May of 2017. Prior to this, Caleb worked with a wide variety of children in a behavior unit at a local public school. Caleb became very passionate about helping children of all abilities when his son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2013. Shortly thereafter, he learned about Applied Behavior Analysis and became determined to work in the field. One of his favorite roles of his job is teaching families about the benefits of ABA.
Caleb is a native Texan and has lived in the Austin Metro area his entire life. In his free time, Caleb enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, son, and daughter. Caleb looks forward to serving the families of Austin in any way he can.
