Chief Clinical Officer, Co-Founder

Over two decades ago, Carla Edwards co-founded Behavioral Innovations and has been at the forefront of new center development and management.

Right from the beginning, Carla has been involved in many aspects of the company’s growth, including providing services as a BCBA, developing and managing human resource processes, as well as establishing operational policies and procedures.

Her extensive experience and a deep grasp of operational controls enabled Carla to provide immeasurable guidance in creating and evaluating client intake processes, customizing content management systems, developing and implementing staff trainings, and leading the billing/credentialing/authorizations department.

After achieving tremendous success as Executive Director of DeNovo Development & Management, Carla successfully steered her career track leading to her current role as Chief Clinical Officer where she is implementing a scalable clinical model of data collection, training, and monitoring.

With prior BCBA experience and having worked closely with the clinical teams at new centers, Carla’s efforts will be focused on implementing the company’s mission, vision, and value to promote a positive learning environment.

Carla attended the University of North Carolina-Wilmington for her undergraduate studies where her passion for Behavior Analysis began under the mentorship of Dr. Carol Pilgrim. Carla received her master’s degree from the Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas where she had the opportunity to conduct research on “Staff Training” under the direction of Dr. Shahla Rosales.
