Lauren Uptegrove

Clinical Director

Lauren is thrilled to be starting a new position as Center Director for the Flower Mound Treatment Center! Lauren has been with Behavioral Innovations since May 2017; she has served as both a primary and support BCBA and has overseen services within the home, center, and school settings.

Lauren completed her Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from Baylor University and brings over seven years of experience with a culmination of school supports, school consultation services, center treatment, and in-home services. Her experience ranges from ages 2-18 in a variety of areas, including early intervention, school readiness, social skills, functional life-skills, and transitional services.

Lauren initially found a passion for ABA within a special education setting when she saw firsthand what an impact behavioral interventions can have on the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities. “I’ve had an opportunity to see that every child has a voice, but not every child knows that their communication has value. When we’re able to identify a way to empower them and let them know that their words have value, whether it’s asking a friend to play or exchanging a picture card for water, we can change lives. I feel beyond lucky that that’s my job; to collaborate with everyone involved in a child’s life and show them they have a voice, and that their voice has meaning.”
