Our Beyond the Bell after-school social skills program offers parents a much-needed resource to support their children’s social and emotional development. The program provides a structured and supportive environment where children can learn and practice skills tailored to their unique needs and goals.
Our program offers:
Our social skills therapy group is designed for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder who face challenges in
social interactions, communication, and understanding social cues. Children with autism can struggle with initiating and
maintaining conversations, interpreting nonverbal communication, and engaging in reciprocal play. We focus on building
empathy, perspective-taking, and fostering meaningful relationships with peers.
The primary focus of Beyond the Bell is to strengthen social skills and practice them in a safe, nurturing environment. In addition to interpersonal communication, social initiation, awareness, and emotional regulation, we break down the training into manageable, short-term goals such as complimenting peers, understanding likes and dislikes, participating in games, or identifying the cause of an emotion.
“Our program focuses on the skills our clients need to establish lasting friendships. It has been exciting to watch our clients progress in such a short period of time! This is such a fun and engaging program, and I am looking forward to all the skills and friendships that will result from it!”
