Shannon Knisely is the Senior Director of Clinical Services in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst. With 16 years of experience in the field, Shannon brings strong clinical leadership and a passion for building high-quality ABA services—beginning with helping establish Behavioral Innovations’ first clinic in North Carolina.
Shannon is inspired by the transformational moments in ABA: watching a child who once struggled to communicate find their voice, seeing families celebrate milestones like school transitions and new friendships, and observing how individualized treatment plans can change a child’s long-term trajectory.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys all things adventurous—skydiving, scuba diving, traveling, rock climbing, kayaking, and white-water rafting. She’s also a big coffee enthusiast.
A fun fact: Shannon once traveled to Nairobi, Kenya and, within 24 hours, went on safari, rode a camel, and fed a baby elephant.
