Dr. Kearie Newman achieved her Clinical Psychology Doctorate with honors in 2020. With more than 15 years of experience, she has worked in various places like outpatient clinics, private practices, and mental health hospitals.
During her doctoral studies, she interned at Marcy Correctional Facility/Central New York Psychiatric Center and later joined Central New York Psychiatric Center full-time. Throughout her career, Dr. Newman has assessed both children and adults dealing with intellectual disabilities, mental and behavioral issues, personality disorders, and brain development conditions.
Dr. Newman’s diagnostic approach is based on a scientist-practitioner model, where she uses advanced assessment methods and comprehensive analysis to clarify diagnoses and plan treatments. She has spent a significant part of her career in outpatient settings, private practices, and psychiatric facilities. At Behavioral Innovations, she specializes exclusively in diagnostic assessments, particularly for autism spectrum disorders and related brain development disorders.
