Preparing for the Evaluation
What to Expect Before Assessment Day
Most families complete three steps before the in-person visit.
We send age-appropriate forms about your child's development. Complete within 24–48 hrs of receiving them.
60–90 min video call. Your child's developmental history, behaviors, and your concerns.
Plan 2–3 hours at the center. Bring your child fed and rested. Play-based – nothing to study for.
On assessment day
Play-based activities with our psychologist. No right or wrong answers – just natural observation.

What's the difference between a screening and an evaluation?
A screening is a brief questionnaire that flags possible autism – it doesn't produce a diagnosis. An evaluation is the full clinical process that answers the question directly.

What ages do you evaluate?
18 months through 6 years, 11 months. Children outside this range may be better served by a different provider – our intake team can point you in the right direction.
Do we need a referral?
No referral needed. Call or submit a form and we'll confirm eligibility right away.
Is the evaluation covered by insurance?

What happens on assessment day?

How long until we get the report?
Written report delivered within one business week of the in-person assessment. We review results with you first in a virtual feedback session.
What if autism is not confirmed?
You still receive a full written report with findings, recommendations, and guidance on next steps. A negative result often surfaces other developmental needs worth addressing.
Can we start ABA therapy right after?
When autism is confirmed, our Diagnostic team coordinates directly with our ABA scheduling team. No need to restart intake.
