When you’re searching for answers about your child, every moment matters. We know this isn’t just about a diagnosis—it’s about your hopes, your questions, and your child’s future.
At Behavioral Innovations, we walk alongside families with compassion and expertise. For more than 25 years, parents have trusted us to provide thoughtful, accurate autism evaluations for young children. Our licensed psychologists and clinicians use the most reliable diagnostic tools, but just as important—we take time to listen, explain, and make sure you never feel alone in the process.
Because every child deserves to be understood. And every family deserves clarity and peace of mind.
Initial Consultation: We start by listening. Our team will review your concerns, your child’s developmental history, and any relevant medical or school records to better understand their unique background.
Structured Observation: Your child will participate in guided activities that help us observe their social, communication, and behavioral skills in both structured and natural settings.
Clinical Tools & Testing: We use trusted, evidence-based tools like ADOS-2, CARS, or ADI-R to accurately assess for signs of autism.
Team Collaboration: If necessary, we’ll collaborate with other specialists—like speech or occupational therapists—to ensure a full picture of your child’s strengths and needs.
Feedback & Parent Guidance: We’ll walk you through the results and offer clear recommendations for next steps—whether that includes ABA therapy, speech services, or other supportive interventions.
Comprehensive & Written Report: You’ll receive a detailed report outlining the findings, including a diagnosis (if applicable) and our clinical recommendations for care.
At Behavioral Innovations, we use many diagnosis tools at our autism diagnosis center to help you understand your child’s needs. We walk with you, support you and help you navigate the process.
Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHATTM): The M-CHAT is appropriate for children under 3. It is a parent-report screening tool that assesses the risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With the M-CHAT, the parent completes a 20-question questionnaire and receives an autism risk assessment for their kid.
Childhood Asperger’s Syndrome Test (CAST): If you suspect your child has autism, it is crucial to take them for an autism test. This parent-completed questionnaire captures various social, communicative, and imaginative behaviors in children aged 4 and older.
An autism diagnosis will help you understand the challenges your child is having at school and home. You can get the initial autism screening from your pediatrician, or our team can perform a full autism evaluation.
If your child has already been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we’re here to help you take the next steps towards effective treatment and support. Contact us to set up a consultation with one of our experienced clinicians to discuss your child’s specific needs and create a tailored ABA therapy plan.
If you suspect your child may have autism and need a comprehensive diagnosis, our team is ready to assist you through the entire diagnostic process. Schedule an initial consultation to discuss your concerns with one of our licensed psychologists. You will receive a comprehensive report of our findings, which can serve as an official document for most insurances.

Since starting here, we’ve seen such beautiful progress in her communication skills. She’s expressing herself more, using her words more confidently, and engaging with us in ways we only hoped for before. Since starting at Behavioral Innovations my son communicates so much better with us, and social gatherings don’t bother him anymore. He’s also potty training, and honestly, it was worth bringing him here. The staff is super friendly and helpful & my son loves it. It’s a really friendly and safe place for parents to consider for aba therapy. I am pleased with all the efforts they make and the extra steps they take to assist parents like us.

We’ve tried a few ABA therapy centers and BI provided us with such a good experience. The entire staff at BI have gone above and beyond and my son has made such progress.
To prepare for your child’s diagnostic evaluation, please review these common questions and answers:
Our diagnostic services are currently offered in Texas and Colorado.
At Behavioral Innovations, we currently offer a flat fee for diagnostic evaluations. The straightforward pricing includes the initial consultation, assessments and observations, feedback sessions, and the written report.
Our company aims to include our diagnostic services under many insurance providers in the future. At this time, our diagnostic services require clients to pay the expenses out-of-pocket.
Many insurance companies may require a re-evaluation to continue receiving insurance coverage for related services. Usually, the diagnostic reports are valid for around three years. It’s best to schedule an appointment months before a report expires so you can avoid any gaps in care coverage.
Professionals at Behavioral Innovations can guide you through options for the next steps. We offer applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy for children with ASD. The scientific approaches aim to help children improve their lives and reach their full potential. You can read our article about ABA therapy to learn more.
With the right support and interventions, some children diagnosed with ASD can show positive changes and improvements over a significant amount of time. Generally, ASD requires long-term support and is considered a condition that an individual may experience throughout their entire life.
