LaSheka is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with 6 years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Prior to receiving her accreditation, LaSheka worked in the field of Insurance as a Licensed Bodily Injury and Property Damage Claims Adjuster and as a Marketing Specialist for a major insurance carrier. She believes in a collaborative approach, having trained and monitored multiple teams and their progress towards company set goals and objectives. In her new role, she wishes to coach her staff, parents, and clients to reach their optimal level of excellence. The company’s philosophy and cutting-edge therapeutic interventions to assist families and children is what drew her to Behavioral Innovations.
LaSheka’s passion for the field of ABA is driven by experiences of her youngest daughter, who was diagnosed with autism. She credits ABA treatment for changing the trajectory of her daughter’s life. The doctors were not optimistic about her outcomes, but through Quality ABA, Speech and Occupational Therapy, and a supportive community, her daughter exceeded all expectations.
LaSheka loves taking her family on frequent trips and is especially fond of places near water. She is a fan of the Marvel universe, with Jessica Jones being her favorite character. She spends her weekends visiting parks or discovering new walking trails and visiting her extended family.
