Executive Director, DeNovo Development & Management, Co-Founder

Carla is a founding member of Behavioral Innovations and is currently the Executive Director, DeNovo Development & Management. Since the inception of BI, Carla has had the opportunity to engage in many activities such as providing services as a BCBA, developing and managing human resource processes, as well as establishing operational policies and procedures. Carla relishes her current role of oversight and coordination of new location openings.  

Carla has previously played a pivotal role at BI in creating and evaluating client intake processes, customizing content management systems, developing and implementing staff trainings, and leading the billing/credentialing/authorizations department. 

For her undergraduate studies, Carla attended University of North Carolina-Wilmington and received a bachelor’s in psychology. Her love for Behavior Analysis began under the mentorship of Dr. Carol Pilgrim. Carla received her master’s degree from the Department of Behavior Analysis at University of North Texas where she had the opportunity to conduct research on “Staff Training” under the direction of Dr. Shahla Rosales. The journey to establishing the first Behaviorally Analytic Service center-based program in the Dallas-Fort Worth area led to the successful organic growth of various centers across Texas and Oklahoma.
