Carla Edwards: So, when we finished graduate school at the University of North Texas. We needed to figure out how the children that we were serving at that time would receive services, and so we wanted to make sure that those children had services and we had this crazy idea that the three of us could actually start a business and that we could change it into where families would drive to us to an office as opposed to us driving to their homes and so we took a leap of faith signed a lease and families started coming to us and so we really wanted to reach as many families as possible we knew that what we were doing was super effective.
We were making changes that were improving the quality of life for these kids, and we wanted to do that and do it in a way that we could help as many kids as we could. In the beginning, we always wanted to help as many children as possible, and that has been consistent across time. We’ve been able to receive funding through different Partnerships to be able to grow our internal teams and make sure our BCBAs have support as they’re grow growing case loads and so that’s been the vision and it’s continued across the years as we’ve been able to grow and help as many children as possible with all the support mechanisms that we have in place.
