As we celebrate 25 years of Behavioral Innovations, Lori Russo reflects on the early challenges of ABA therapy when the company was first founded. She shares three key things they did to overcome ABA Skepticism and build a strong foundation for the company’s success!

Lori Ruuso: I would say we probably did it three ways. Really, we embraced transparency from the beginning with our families, with our staff, with the community. We also continued to demonstrate our commitment to evidence-based practices and really made sure that we built strong relationships with families. It was very important for us to be involved in community events and educational initiatives to increase awareness and understanding, and then just continue to advance the field of behavior analysis, and with that, more acceptance.
